T. Suzuki Architects has merged with RMA Architects Inc.
T. Suzuki Architects specializes in commercial tenant improvement projects; their work includes the Sheraton Kauai Hotel, Hyatt Regency Maui, Sheraton Waikiki Hotel, Love’s Bakery and other hospitality and restaurant projects in Hawaii and Las Vegas, and also high-end boutiques such as Bottega Veneta, Gucchi, Van Cleef & Arpels, Prada, Pamala Picasso, Mitsukoshi, Yokohama Okadaya, and Coach.
RMA Architects Inc., welcomes three new members to the Ohana: Toshi Suzuki, Beth Peters, and Dean Basque.
Toshi Suzuki has degrees from School of Architecture at Hosei University in Tokyo, Indiana University and Purdue University at Indianapolis. Toshi worked at Daniel, Mann, Johnson & Mendenhall in Tokyo before joining E.I. Brown Company in Indianapolis in 1967; he then moved to Hawaii in 1972 to work with Walter Leong, where he also met Herb Leong. Toshi followed Herb to work at Richard Matsunaga and Associates in 1975, up until 1982 where he then opened his own firm with Akira Kawabata. He obtained his Architecture License in Hawaii in 1979. He is currently the Director of Commercial Division here at RMA Architects, Inc.
Beth is a licensed CPA in the state of Hawaii. She received her Bachelor’s degree in history from Pitzer College and her MBA from UH Manoa. She has worked at T. Suzuki Architects for the past 12 years.
Dean has a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Hawaii at Manoa School of Architecture. He has worked at T. Suzuki Architects for the past 20 years.
