Hale o Moiliili Groundbreaking

A historic housing project is officially underway in Moiliili following a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday morning.

Hale Moiliili will be the first rental high-rise developed by the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL), marking a significant milestone for the agency.

The 23-story building will feature 271 rental units designated exclusively for Native Hawaiian beneficiaries on DHHL’s waitlist. The tower is being constructed on a site with deep local roots, previously home to the iconic Stadium Bowl-O-Drome bowling alley.
