2016 Oahu Heart Walk – Saturday, August 13, 2016

“The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premiere event for raising funds to save lives from this country’s No.1 and No.5 killers – heart disease and stroke.  Designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, the Heart Walk creates an environment that’s fun and rewarding for the entire family.” ~ 2016 Oahu Heart Walk

Please donate or better yet come join us at the 2016 Oahu Heart Walk on Saturday, August 13, 2016!

Our theme for this year is the based on Shel Silverstein’s book, The Giving Tree.  The book is about selfless love and philanthropy; perfect to relate to the Heart Walk!

We have our own Giving Tree up in our office; a visualization of our office’s progress towards our donation goal.

For each denomination that a person receives, they divide the dollar amount into three heart categories:

Red Heart = $5

Silver Heart = $20

Gold Heart = $50

Then they place the amount of hearts on the branches of the tree.  (i.e. $75 would be one gold heart, one silver heart, and one red heart).

As you can see, our tree has matured into heart-fulled and loving, Giving Tree.
